swimmers tail

just wondering if anyone has ever heard of swimmers tail. my dogs tail was hurting him and he had been swimming alot and i was told it was swimmers tail i never heard of it i was hoping someone could fill me in. thanks

He should be better in a few days. It may take as long as a couple of weeks depending how bad it is. If he doesn't show any signs of improvement you can take him to a vet for some anti inflamatory meds, but it usually gets better on it own.

My lab gets it about two to three times a year. It will go away after a few days.

Yeah, my lab got it as well three years ago. Kind of like a strain or over using the muscle. Should go a way in not too long, if it doesn't go to the vet.
