Battery life for Marcum

I have been surfing through the posts and really haven't gotten a good take on what to expect on the battery life of the Marcum. Is it close to the Vexilar or is there a big difference between them?

I figure there must be a few people that have used them both by now and have some 'in field' expirences with both.

The book says 23 hours. I have fished it for 14 hours straight once and there was 40 % charge left on the indicator. The charger is what is sweet with this unit fastest that I have seen you can top off from a full days use in less than 5 hours.

Seems like you can fish a few full days on a charge. I fished a morning, an evening, then (like a dope) left it running over night, and still had more than enough juice for a couple hours the next morning. It was still running fine when I was done for the day, but I don't recall what the battery guage said.

Tim's right about the charger - it charges things up pretty rapidly...

how aboot a humminbird sixty-six does anyon know if i can use a vexilar battery pack on this? or do i have to find one through humminbird?

Thanks for the info, that is what I was looking for is someone who has used the unit and could give me a idea of what to expect.
