bowstring lake

Has anyone camped on bowsrting lake? Looking for suggestions for this summer. Prefer a resort that has a pool for the kids.

Bowstring north of Deer River I'm assuming?

Bowstring Shores, Snug Harbor, Georgene's Haven, and Rocky Shores are resorts on the lake. I'm not sure if any of them have a swimming pool or not.

You definitely don't want to be swimming in Bowstring, because of the swimmer's itch/chiggers in there.

Does the lake get really green also?

Northern Acres is also a great spot to camp

They dont have a pool but they do have little kayaks for the kids to paddle around in also they have a great play area been a couple years since I been up that way but around the 4th of July the kids swam in the lake and never got the chiggers

maybe just lucky I guess

if the area your swimming in gets a good wind specially bigger lakes

like bowsttring does it kinda clean the water of that swimmers itch

Snug Harbor, Georgen's Haven is just down the shore from our place. Georgens Haven has a pool and I believe Snug Harbor does. I think Bow string Shores has a pool too. check their web sites for best information During the Dog Days of August the lake may experience algae bloom and green up, especially in the years when the water level was way low, however a good wind or rain will usually clean it up for a few days.
