Cheap Goose Decoys?

Anyone have any suggestions on making some type of cheap goose decoy? I mostly hunt deer, pheasant, and ducks, but would like to give goose hunting a shot. With the purchase of a new shotgun this year and more duck decoys, I dont see buying goose decoys in the budget. One of my friends has a few full bodies, but not too many.

Any suggestions? We were looking at hunting a field that I've recently procured. One small pothole pond, but I dont think its big enough to have birds land on it.

We used to cut them out of plywood and paint them. Worked alright for a few years but geese seem to have gotten wiser. I still have those if you really want them. lol I would just check out that "list" page or the classifieds on here and watch for cheap older shells etc.

I was going to say the same thing as 169. Run a "want ad" for used goose decoys in as many papers as you can. I believe the want ad is usually free, and I think you'll be surprised what you might find out there.

If you are looking for Full Bodies I have 13 GHG hunter series 4 years old that will sell cheap. They have some wear and a couple heads screwed in and sitting in the garage useless. I will be coming through the cities in a couple weeks I think. If interested let me know.

they are 2 actives and 11 feeders with reel feet bases but two are missing. You could make them into real motion decoys if you buy the kits.
