CANOPY SAM
I believe, if it's your land, or you have permission on said land, that you can leave them out overnight.
TylerS
In high school, my friends used to set up their dekes the night before all the time. Nowadays, however, I'd be more worried about them getting stolen before I got out the next morning.
Powerstroke
According to page 11 of the waterfowl supplement. • No person may place decoys on public lands or in public waters more thantwo hours before legal shooting hours for waterfowl.• No person may leave decoys on public waters between sunset and two hoursbefore legal shooting hours or leave decoys unattended during other times formore than three consecutive hours, except decoys may be left in waters adjacentto private land under control of the hunter where there is not sufficientnatural vegetation growing in the water to partially conceal a hunter. A personmay not leave decoys in public waters between sunset and one hour beforeshooting hours if the decoys constitute a navigationalhazard. CANOPY SAM
Yep. Thanks Powerstroke. Pretty sure that means "no no" on public, but okay on private. Although I wouldn't leave em' out during the day. Local birds get used to decoys pretty fast, and I think they'd shy away in less than 24 hours. That second paragraph is kind of funny, isn't it? You can leave decs out on water adjacent to private land if it's "under your control", and there's no place to hide? Huh?
