scent killer recipie

Does anyone have a homemade scent killer recipe? This time,I promise I'll print it off and keep it so that I don't have to ask again next year.

16 ounces hydrogen peroxide

16 ounces distilled water

1/4 cup baking soda

1 ounce scent free soap

mix in big open container

store in big container with loose lid for first couple of days

I like to keep it in a brown 1 quart bottle ( I use the 1 quart hydrogen peroxide bottle--the spray nozzle from the typical Menard's type spray bottle screws right on to it).

i wonder if home made stuff works as good as the stuff you buy in the store?

I dunno if it works or not.

I made a batch last year and it stunk to much.

Followed the directions and kept it shook up.

Also the baking soda will not disolve. After a few weks I put some in a sprayer and it clogged up.

might need to use a little less baking soda. After all you'll be using scent free soap anyway.

It does work, but I've found the baking soda tends to leave a white film on things after it drys. It's also not a whole lot cheaper to make so I usually buy the gallon/spray bottle/little spritzer package Scent Killer has on sale for $20 each year. Lasts all season for me. And that's spraying down before and after a hunt (and with washing my hunting clothes every 2 weeks.

can't beat the 3 pack. plus, you don't have to shower down everything, everytime like they do on the t.v shows. their sponsors want them to do it constantly on camera to make the viewer think you have to, so you use more product, so you buy more.

I just spray everything down a bit and hang it out on the line after a hunt. Into the plastic bag it goes afterward. I like to spray down my boots good before a hunt and lightly over the clothes. So, yes, you don't need to bathe in it!
