fall colors ride by duluth?

I was told about a fall colors ride up by duluth somewhere on Oct. 16th. I believe i was told sliver bay, mn? Has anyone heard of this or have any other info? We'd like to go but i can't find out anything about it.

The wife and I just got back from a Silver Bay/RedDot trail ride. Here are a few pics of the colors. We rode about 77 miles, it was fantastic scenery, and perfect weather. Two more weeks may push it beyond peak though. This weekend ought to be great. We went on Tuesday - Wednesday so traffic wasnt an issue, but I would assume it will be slow going this weekend.

Check the DNR site fall color map. They update it each week.

that does sound like fun!!! I know there is a fall colors ride talked about in the motorcycles forum, probably not the same. Where is the trail up by silver bay?? Sounds like a nice weekend trip.

Its the Red Dot trail. There are a few parking areas right out of Beaver Bay and Silver Bay. It also connects up with the Moose Walk, Moose Run trail system that goes up to the Finland area. Some great overlooks of the lake and some big valleys with gorgeous vista views.

I live 40-50 miles direct west of Duluth and I agree, not sure will be peak in 2 weeks but I could be wrong. Coming from the cities and now living up here I'm in amazement of the colors that are out right now, it's just beautiful up here right now. Massive amounts of bright orange, yellow and red right now with full trees having turned but have only dropped a few leaves to date.
