Yessir, let the feeding begin. My opinion is that all of mother natures goodies are getting gone, sows an cubs will start thinking of denning, even suboardanat boars, Big guys will wait till the very end an if the winter is mild an theres food avaiable some dont even den. This is the time to keep the doughtnut shop open for bussiness, there gona start ot move for food, keep your site fresh an full. alot of bear hunters are done, gotten theirs or call it quits, tough thing is overlapping seasons, small game bow, goose ect.. Late season is the best if you have'nt seen a big boy yet. The only draw back is now the blaze army starts to visit. If you have a little seclusion your good to go..In the past Ive always waited to shoot one about now.Good to know whos out there and whos willing to steer clear for ya.. Thats usually not a problem for us we have private but still offer to share with those who comply.. Aint seen to many not take a bear roast for keeping things quiet for a evening or 2.

This year ARG I took a good bear with a blaze.Just had to crush one and with my new 45-70 barrrel..

They really hit the fatty foods now.. Ive noticed that a 5 gallon pail of doughnut grease and brown sugar stuffed in the middle needs refreshing about every other day. Dont worrie we aint leaving the buckets I cut them down the side and drop out that wonderfull cone of yumm then take a stick and hollow out the center for dumping a pound of brown sugar in it.Ya know its like a greasy tootsie pop,,,

Burns have worked good for us also this time of year. I would set up and do the burn with my wife in a tree down wind on a ambush path. I dont just set up the can and let it fly I like to keep dumping and maintaining the flame height.I guess its the pyro in me that like making clouds of wonderfull smoke..

Well that also gets me out there// I love watching her put the hammer on em.. I got to watch her slap her first and truth be told I have MORE fun watching others shoot them now..
