I am heading out to the central part of the state in 2 weeks for upland. I have heard a lot of good but never been there and never chased prarie chickens and huns. Any advice would be great, bringing my Brittany.

Also looking for advice on shot

You will come across snakes! Make sure you have plenty of water with for your dog, the walks will be long and you will want to water the dog as you go. The shot will vary, some spots you can use lead and in others you will have to use steel, check the maps before you go out.

Enjoy all the big bucks you will see, hunted it last year with my 10 yr old (does only) and saw several 160 - 170 class whitetails.

Thanks for the info, I can't wait to get out there....It will drive me nuts watching those deer. I have kinda figured I would lay off the whitetails this year to work my dog more then ever as he is in his prime and has earned it....
