NorthernOutdoors
I see Cabelas has both the Bushnell Trophy Cam 5.0 and the Moultrie Outfitter 6.0 IR camera on sale this week. I've been looking to get a new camera so I'll probably end up getting one of these two. Any pro/cons on either one? I have other Moultrie IR cams and they work great so I'm leaning toward that one... plus it's cheaper. Any experiences with the Bushnell and would you recommend one vs. the other? Thanks for the info!
fr0sty
I would checking the chasing game HSOforum. Good info on most all current trail cameras.
cherokee
Friends have the bushnell and it works great. Great on batteries and nice and compact. Pictures I've seen turned out real nice. It does not miss anything either.
NorthernOutdoors
Anyone care to share their night pictures from either the Trophy Cam or the IR 6.0 Outfitter Cam or possibly Moultries D-55 IR?
MNRookie78
I will start by saying I don't have experience with either of these new cams, but we currently use 3 Moultrie's and one Stealth Cam (Stealth Cam is about 4 years old and a flash camera so I won't even go into detal on it). I can tell you if Moultrie hasn't improved their trigger speed in the past year (we bought all three early last summer) you have to place it so the cam is looking DOWN the trail! If you hope to catch something moving ACROSS the picture you are going to get a lot of great pics of grass/trees etc. I can show you hundreds of pics of nothing by the Moultrie's. We want to sell our Moultries and purchase another brand, but are not sure which route to go...would love to hear experiences good or bad from others with experience. Thanks for posting this thread. sticknstring
Check the trail cam pic thread as well. You'll see pictures posted from all different cameras. Maybe that will help you make a decision as well. I have no experience with either camera you mentioned.
