Hot bite at high noon!

Ran across a pleasant surprise yesterday while fishing a small reservoir lake in Central WI with my Dad. We were on the water early and started off the day with a couple dinks followed by a 4 pounder around 10am. Besides the 4 pounder it was a slow morning.

Around noon, the bite was absolutely on fire. We had a great time pulling in one after another for the next hour. After that, it completely died for the rest of the day. We replicated the pattern we found around the lake, with no luck.

Not too often you see a hot bite at high noon in shallow water on a hot August afternoon!

Hope everyone had a great weekend.

At high noon the sun's rays are penetrating the water the most, and fish can see the bait better is what ive been told. Especially in stained water. No idea if its true, but i have at times, had better luck around Noon. Especially shallow. Just a theory.
