First of all, Evernham had a non-compete clause in his contract when he left Petty Motorsports so he is legally bound to sit on the sidelines until that is resolved.

Secondly, he has stated emphatically that he would not be a crew chief again.

Lastly, if he does come back I have no doubt that he would be working in some fashion with Kahne, who is coming to Hendrick in 2012, not Earnhardt Jr.

ya he made mention about his non compete and court

and did say he didnt really want to be on the top of a pit box

but you never know what part he would play in being with hendricks

my guess alan g wil go with kahne or maybe he would go with jr

who knows...their not cutting it as is

one thing i dont think you want to be saying is never in this sport

lots of big egos and guys want to win

everham said he thinks JR just needs some direction

and jr value will drop at some point nobody is going to put 10-20 million in a 20th place team no matter who he is

the camars just dont follow the 20th place car much

he has lots of his $$$$$$ i'm sure

I don't know, seems the cameras followed Jr all season. He will not stay in 20th position in the upcoming years.
