Pharcta2
On a trip to California's Clear Lake last week I was fortunate enough to hook and land an 8-11 largemouth. After I weighed and mesured her, she was released. Now I'm looking for a good place in Minnesota to produce the replica.Any suggestions out there? Thanks in advance! bigdog
Another would be Mid-America in Savage. Brad does excellent work with painting fish.He has done a number of fish for me, including a largemouth that I had mounted going for a frog on a Lilly pad. He is currently working on a Rainbow Trout for me.
Walleye Guy
I fourth the Artistic Anglers in Duluth. They are the best in the business. If you order at the Minneapolis Sport show in March/April they usually have a show special which will save you a couple bucks an inch.
Mille Lacs Guy
What does it usually cost per inch to get a replica? Just curious because I have pictures of 3 fish I would like to mount. A 29.5 inch walleye, a 28.75 inch walleye, and a 20.5 inch smallmouth. Thanks.

Guest
Congrats on the hog! Ron Lax of Lax taxidermy out in WI is the best I've seen for reproductions - they specialize in Pike and Musky though... I've seen a lot of Artistic Anglers reproductions as well and think they also do a good job. Price is similar, Lax would probably be a little higher.. Email me if you want contact info and I can dig it up or just search for Lax taxidermy and you will find their HSOforum.
