I'm sure this has been posted but whats the formula for deodarizing a pet? My dog had a run in this weekend but fortunalty the skunk must have missed. She smells a little but was almost gone in two days. What do you use? I've heard the best is some homemade formula but the shelf life is very short.

Thanks....and hopefully I won't need to use this in the future!

Skunk Odor Removal Formula

1 quart 3% Hydrogen Peroxide (found in any drug store)

¼ cup Baking Soda (sodium bicarbonate)

1 teaspoon of liquid dish soap (like Dawn or Palmolive, but any similar dish soap will work)

another formula I've used is 1 part bleach or so to 10 parts water, in case you don't have the other supplies handy. I got to use this last Sunday at about 10pm, be careful around the eyes of course but the dog ends up smelling like a pool with a hint of skunk rather than all skunk.

Dog got neutered on Friday and skunked on Sunday, nice weekend for him.
