Egrets galore

A friend that drive by here on his way to work every day, told me about this spot. I had a hard time believing him since I hadn't seen them in the usual places this year. Evidentally, it's a good fishing spot. I counted 35 egrets along with dozens of gulls and a bunch of pelicans, along this little creek. When fishing is good, the word gets out.

Nice work, X! How did you get so close, did you use a blind or your invisible mode? I've never been able to sneak up on them at all. Very weary they are!

Thanks Mike. A ninja I am not. I pulled my car over to the side of the road far enough away to not startle them but close enough to have a decent shot if any came closer. My car was sitting about 25 yards down road from the creek. I just sat and watched and eventually a couple forgot about me and wandered close enough. It helped that the fishing was so good. I probably sat there for about 45 minutes. Also, some of these pics are cropped down to about 35% of the original.
