This question is probably best for lcornice, but if anyone else has any insight that would be great. Why are the pheasant opener and early antlerless deer hunt not the same day this year? I believe this is a first in recent years. Just a quirk, or intentional?

I do like the change, but could see others not liking it.

On purpose. With the SE and NW youth season over MEA, I didn't think it would be a good idea have EA and then MEA the following weekend. Better to do them both over the same time period.
