Can't read Lakemaster card on Lowrance GlobalMap

Heartman

Question

I know this has been discussed before, but what is the sequence on my Lowrance GlobalMap to read my new Lakemaster card? Tried a search here, and have had trouble finding the info I need.

Thanks in advance. Feeling a bit older than normal today...

LakeMaster is plug-and-play in Lowrance units, you shouldn't have to do anything other than put the card in the unit.

But ... you said you have a new LM card, and the Global Map is an older unit. It probably can't handle the new card, you'd need an older, used card for that unit.

Can you check the card in a new unit to make sure the card is good?

Do I use Map Data, Overlay data, etc, etc. Just am not able to find the correct choices on the menu to select Lakemaster MMC - looking for the sequence. I think Northlander had shared this info in another thread.

I will repeat ..... with LM cards and Lowrance units, there are no menu options to go through to get the unit to read the card. The cards are plug and play. If your map data does not come up by itself then it is a problem with the card, the unit, or both. In your case I do not think the new card is compatible with your unit.

Thank you for all the replies - believe I will contact their Customer Service and discuss.

I'd call LakeMaster, not Lowrance. They'll know for sure if the card is compatible. If it's not compatible they can probably help you get a card that will work in that unit. Good luck getting it figured out.
