Sleeper house questions

I am looking to get a fish house that I can bring along and sleep in instead of renting a house. I am off to college next year so I am debating wether to build a house and just sell in next year or get a bigger canvas house like a clam sleeper. Storage in the off season isnt an issue I am just trying to decide between the two. Let me know what you think.

i just built a 8 x 16 with a v front last year And i Love it, But i dont have a storage problem, i have slenty of room to store plus all my friends live on farms. But i love my table that runs into a bed and my bunk above, specialy love my oven to cook those pizzas in for when fishing slow!! if storage is not an issue or money get a sleeper!

Get/Make a sleeper. You will get more enjoyment out of it, and probably a lot more friends.

I am either going to build a skid house and haul it or bring the canvas shack in my pickup when I go. I will build a sleeper in 4 years when I get out of college and have more money, but I dont want to spend all that money before I go to college.

I can tell you that sleeping in a portable for a night maybe 2 is ok, but not at below zero temps like we have here in Minn.

You can build a nice 8 x 12 skid house easily for around $1200 insulated. A nice heater and a futon and you will be happier than in the portable.

I would check with canvas craft and look at their line of insulated suit case models with the "you build part of it option" if they still have that
