I forgot to mention that Cabela's offers layaway if you need to buy that expensive item(s). Didn't know that until this summer when an associate mentioned it when I was looking at gps locators. I think layaway is for 90 days.

I agree with the premise, as long as we all understand that in some cases you get what you pay for when you buy a $1 tool or something. In other cases the $1 vs $5 item there really is no difference in quality. I look at it like buying something at a convenience store vs a smalltown local grocery store vs a Walmart or bigger grocery store. Do you really expect to pay the same for the gallon of milk at all three? Sometimes we're paying for convenience, so it's up to us to show some restraint, and remember to hold off until we hit the cheaper place or live without it until we do.
