14 Pocket and 1 striped tonight!

My wife secured another two farms for Mitchell to trap so we went out this morning and set a bunch. We ran out quick tonight before the storm hit and he ended up getting the 14 pockets and the one striped gopher. We still have a bunch out so hopefully there not all full of mud in the morning.

You guys get a bounty for gophers? We used to get 50 cents a piece here. I remember in HS going out with a .22 and having a ton of fun shooting them

$3 for pockets and $1 for stripes. There's a ton of the stripes running around and you can practically drive right up to them. I think junior will be taking his pellet gun out with us the next time we go out.

$1 for stripes? dayung. i thought 25 cents was good. last pocket gopher feet i turned in were running at $2.75. good to see young guys out there giving it a go. i payed for 2 east coast trips by trapping gophers in jr high and high school.

Wow $3 for pocket gophers!! I remember getting paid something like $0.90.

Typically the county pays you for the feet.

Not many Don. We've got a pretty good crop of furry ones running around this year so hopefully in another week Mitch and I'll have a couple dandies to show ya.
