Not sure where to ask this so I'll throw it out here. Is there any way to clear up the satellite view when zooming in close or is there a better site with sharper views ???

Sometimes all you have to do is wait for the higher res images to load. I've also noticed certain parts of the world you can zoom in farther than others, usually highly populated areas.

You probably won't find any other free sites that come close to GE clarity. Like the previous post said, sometimes you have to wait until it loads, and also it depends on the area, the photos may not be updated and therefore the resolution won't be as good. I think the 2009 stuff which covers a lot of the U.S., is somewhere around +or-3 meters resolution.

I find [Note from admin: Please read forum policy before posting again. Thank you.] Bing Maps to have better photos. They also have a birds eye feature that gives you several different angles.
