Esox_Magnum
1850 ( possibly) Skeeter with a 115 Merc, 17 pitch sound in the ballpark???
hydro
Sounds like a good place to start. Every prop design is different so there are no hard and fast rules. What do you want the boat to do best?Give it a run and note the holeshot, holeshot with passengers, left/right turn handling, and top end. At WOT, trim the motor out until you can feel the boat slow down, then back in a bit until your speed comes back, then look back to see how high a rooster tail it's throwing. Best top end will be with no more than 4'-6' of spray. Last note the GPS speed and RPM at WOT and post it. I'm sure you will get good feedback from that. BorderView
I settled on a 17 on a 18' Crestliner w/ a 115. Does not give the best possible top speed, but can move a loaded boat and pull skiers and wakeboarders
Larson15
sounds a little low for a 115. Might want to consider a 19 Laser
Esox_Magnum
17 is what Skeeter recomends for that motor/hull. Owner clains 43 top end with a good holeshot. I'll let you all know by the end of the weekend how it runs...
