That stings!!!

Last year, I hooked a fish on a pacemaker and my buddy took his sweet *** time reeling hin his DCG and while I was playing the fish (longer than I would have liked) it threw the hooks boatside.. So then, the next day he hooked one trolling and when I went to net it, the front trebel on the Grandma hooked the hoop of the net and she shook once and she was gone... We still count those both as catches but a pic is always nice after you work so hard to get them.. It still stings but these always make for good stories!!!

I netted a decent fish for a guy last Sat and he made sure I had the hoop as high as possible with the fish still being in water - he'd had an upper 40s jump right out of the net a few years back.

Another bud had what would have been his PB on and his partner netted the treble rather than the fish, bye bye. It happens if you do it enough. Another guy I know has netted hundreds of fish over the years and managed to net the lure on a 50 in WI, it held just long enough for him to do a 180 with the net and get her in - close one.

You can blame it on the fact that my net bag isn't 30 ft deep like yours. ;-)

And to think I netted your PB earlier this year. Guess I should have just booted that one and we'd call it even. JK. Don't worry about it, like JRedig said, "It still counts."

I count all fish that are lost due to net man error. Unless of course you are netting your own fish.

No question on counting her. She hit the bottom, we took the hooks out, then she decided she was done and in extremely slow motion she jumped out of the net. Just no pic or measurement which would have been nice, but not required. The best part about not getting a pic is now she can be a 54 incher by the end of the year.
