hole in boat

Finally found that little hole in the boat(about the size of a BB.) Thinking of using JB weld, good idea or not. Aluminum Thanks,Joe

Where do you get JB?

A place like Northern Tool?

Most any hardware store has it. I would recommend JB quick. It is a faster drying version of JB weld you can find them right next to each other. Quick Steel is another product that would work well. Walmart will have it, Mills Fleet Farm, Menards, Home Depot. All of these place should carry it. Northern Tool I would guess would have it to. You can usually find it in the paint departments by the other types of glue. It is am epoxy based product were you mix two parts together and he hardens into a steel type material pretty neat stuff.

I take it this stuff holds up well on aluminum? Placed on inside or outside of hull?

Be sure to clean the aluminum, then scuff the aluminum with some coarse sand paper. Inside and out if accessable.
