Mankato area river cleanup

The area rivers are really littered and sickening, anyone intrested in making a float down the blue earth one day and the minnesota another day, do some fishing, drink beer if you choose, but most importantly grabbing as much trash as we can fit in our boats......I have a one man canoe, several kayaks, and a stealth 2000 duckboat, along with some other kayaks I could borrow. Canoes would hold more trash, anyone in? Will guage intrest while the water is high, then plan it for later on this summer once water receeds a bit. Nothing worse then picking up after others, but at least the next float will be more enjoyable. Thanks in advance to anyone willing to help. I will personally donate a bunch of trash bags and as many boats/paddles I can gather.

I am interested. I float down those rivers often enough that i will participate in a clean-up. Now if the rain would quit!!

Great idea Smeese! I pretty much pick up trash any time I see it where I fish. I may be up to it, but will have to see when you plan on the date, to confirm for sure.

You can float Steve and i'll take the jon boat to empty out the smaller boats trash and run it to the loading area to bring to the dump....if needed.
