Ham
I have a Cumara CUSDX68M for drop shot. I should try that rod for Jig worming to see how that works. Thanks for the help!

74mph
Wednesdays high pressure shut the crankbait bite down again for me (for bass, slimers were everywhere) so I switched up and fished the jigworm on the outside weed edges of some midlake humps. I was able to manage a few nice fish but the numbers just werent there. I tried multiple different worm shapes and colors including straight tail, curly tail, brown shades and green shades. My partner was catching fish on a wacky worm fishing over the thicker weed areas in ~3FOW and he was finding alot more fish than me but smaller size.I believe that the shallower stuff probably had a high concentration of small fish and the outer edges of those weeds in about 5- 9 FOW had the bigger fish if you could get to them. I had alot of issues fishing the worm in there as the weeds were tall and scattered throughout the area. I feel like the line would catch the top of the weeds and pull the bait almost to the surface before it could drop back down to the bottom.Im wondering if any of you guys (Ray or RK) might have any ideas on what could have been more effective. Was the key to just slow down and twitch that worm and cover less area??I did learn my lesson though on using a bouy marker. Wile catching the best fish I didnt throw the marker out right away, the boat drifted away from the spot and it was super tough to find the spot again, not sure if we ever really fished the same spot. The GPS just isnt accurate enough to get you right back there. From now on I am going to throw that marker ALOT faster. Its hard to make yourself think to do it but I bet that would have really helped.
Ray Esboldt
I like the bait to hang up. I like it when I can crawl the bait over a weed and snap it off. But, I make a shorter cast if I am fishing a thicker weed stand. If the fish are there but they are slow to take after it, I will leave it sit for a few seconds after I clear a weed.
