1,000 Yd Spool Fireline 8lb

Been through FF, Cabelas, GndMt, Scheels, Berkely Outlet...Original Fireline not sold in 8lb test on 1,000 yd spool. I've seen 14lb in 1000 yd spool, but never 8lb. Even asked at the Big C last night if they ever have it in stock..."not in 8lb ever". I'm sick of buying the 125 or 300 and left with a bunch of extra line... never enough to spool another reel.

Has anyone ever found large quantities of fireline?

Yah got to head down to FFO in Spirit lake. I dont know that they have 1000yd spools of 8lb but I know they have tons of fireline there for CHEAP as in under 5 bucks a spool.

I am sure that you can find it most of the stores that spool line. It will not be out on display, but ask at the fishing counter and most will have it. It normally comes in 1100 yard spools. I know that Joe's in St. Paul has it you just have to ask the guys at the fishing counter.

Go to the big E auction site. There is a store on there that sells 1500 yard spools in all sizes for $180. Search for "Berkley Fireline Original 1500 Yard Spool"

125yd spool = $0.155 per yard

300yd spool = $0.125 per yard

1500yd spool = $0.118 per yard

I dropped about $75 at the FFO last weekend. That place gets expensive when they have as many deals as they did over Labor Day weekend. Got about $100+ in rods (Berkley Amp, Abu Garcia Tournament Series, Shakespear Ugly Stick) for $23. The 50 cent Beetle Spins, and $2 Buckshot Rattle spoons did me in as well! Along with the $1 110yd Trilene Ice Line. Then I had to get a few reconditioned reels for $12 a piece! Too much stuff I should probably never go back but that place is already calling me again!

I know you can get your reels spooled with either Trilene XT or Fireline for VERY CHEAP - Any poundage, color, etc.
