Yep, high pressure system starting to move in south of us tonight. Hopefully it helps the fishing with the stabilized weather.

Winds out of the west...fishin's the best!! wink Looks like winds are predicted to be a little stronger Sat. now.

A little over 24 hrs to go time!!

I'm in Ely right now. Hopefully, weather turns nice. It is raining right now. Supposed to start clearing up Friday afternoon. I think this cold front might have pushed fish back to deep water. Water temps from what I've been told are not quite 50 yet. Might try to make a few casts at midnight from shore at the resort I am staying at.

This doesn't have all the characteristics of a typical summer cold front. First of all the weather on the other side will be warmer. Second most of the impact from rising pressure will be tonight and tomorrow, as pressure will stabilize sometime tomorrow night. My guess is the fishing will be decent for those who can find the fish.

Was just looking at the weather at Accucast for Cook...Rain ending at daylight tommorrow Fri W wind 5-7mph...Sat morn 40 degrees hi of 71 SAT,Sun,Mon. We need the moisture! First opener I haven't dug out the longhandles! Good luck to all!!!
