SkunkedAgain
I'm framing my basement and will install drywall around the concrete block perimeter walls. I am planning to use a moisture barrier, followed by the studs (treated bottom plate), with rolled insulation in between the studs, and then drywall. What do most people use for a moisture barrier - brand/material?On my permit, it says to use a moisture barrier up to the outside grade, which is about a foot below my basement ceiling. Can I assume that there are no problems with running the moisture barrier, insulation, and walls all the way up to my basement ceiling (i.e. above outside grade)? BRULEDRIFTER
You also need vapor barrier between the studs/insulation and drywall. edit....with the system you mentioned above, some applications do not require the vapor barrier.
