got my sons patch today

we just received my sons bear management cooperater patch, turns out the bear was 4 years old.ill try and add the photo,

was pretty much how old we figured it to be, it dressed out at 184lbs.

now were just waiting for the taxidermist to finish his work.

Yea got mine to but having a hard time believing the age. My bear about 325 an live weight would have put it mid 350 or so Maybe? wellthey aged it a 3yrs. The first year their just puff balls an if seen 2nd year cubs guessing their anywheres between 60-80 lbs maybe a hundred at the high end. just think that this bear put on another 150 to 200 lbs in another year is hard for me to accept, then again i'm not a bear biologist either.I was guessing the age at 4-5 yrs. But in the no qouta we do have alot of corn, beans, oak stands, so the food is not scarce around here. If I sat everyday at the local buffet I guesee i'd get heavy in a hurry two, but this kinda boggles me. Later boar

that is hard to beleive about the weight to age. how did the teeth look?,if you remember, id guess a 325'lber at 6-8 maybe 10 years old, but we hunt zone 12 so food sources a little different than your area.

either way you got a nice bear, i also remember your pics,

im/were getting pumped as well, got the apps in,now its a waiting game til mid june or so, we usually get permits every other year, but have got them back to back years, so our fingers are crossed, were collecting bait as well. Thanks boar,ill pass along the comments to my son.
