bottom bouncers with cranks

Recommended Posts

Just wanted to see if anyone uses bottom bouncers with floating cranks? This weekend we want to try and find fish in in a flowage andfish the edge of the main channel. We are hoping that we will find fish faster by doing this. The depth is 14 -20 feet. Do bottom bouncers work or would you suggest a 3-way rig. Please give me any tips or suggestions.

Thanks

I think it would work fine, although I'd use a 3-way rig before a bottom bouncer (but that's just me).

3way with a 1-2oz drop weight and #9-11 float rap. I like to play with the distance from bottom which you can not do with a bouncer setup. I will also toss on float rap behind a lindy no snag cast out over a hump and bring back slow.

Have fun and give it all a shot.

I'll 3rd the use of a 3 way rig here. I'd use a 2oz weight and a #11.
