One of the pins that secures the Weaver rail on top of the barrel of my Neos is a tad loose. After firing a few hundred rounds, it tends to work itself out a few millimeters. Not a big deal--I just tap it back in when I clean it, but is there an accepted way of keeping this in place? Would a dab of Loctite take care of it?

Thanks.

use an automatic center punch to just peen a small spot on it and that should stake it in place but not make it impossible to remove should need be in the future.

Do you mean to pull it out, peen it, then reinstall it?

do it in place, if you just put enough peen on it, it will stay tight, but if ever needs to be removed it can be driven out without doing damage. Its one of those do by feel things. Is that a dane in your pic?

nice looking one, I used to have one, but he got wobblers and we had to put him down.

Thanks. He's a great dog. It's unfortunate that their bodies can't always keep up. Floyd bloated this past November--thankfully we got him into surgery in time.
