jkcmj
Really finding a lot of mushrooms the last couple days. Not the 20 lbs tree lots, but fill your hat in an hour type lot. Like to catch a few photos while I'm at it! Unfortunately the few pounds today cost me $51 to get my keys. Locked them into my truck while I was out! I ended up finding two single egg turkey nests so far.

Cheetah
Thanks for the heads up. I'll be chasing turkeys this weekend, need to remember to bring a bag for the morels.

Cheetah
Down in turkey zone 349 there weren't many morels out. I found only about a half dozen, my usual good spots had none growing. My brother got lucky with one hillside that had a lot, but his other spots he knew about were bare. The guys who buy them in La Crescent are apparently paying $14/lb since it was a bad year so far. Spoke with a couple other guys out looking for morels and they were doing poorly as well.
jkcmj
My brothers have been out looking for mushrooms to sell and have been getting over 20 lbs a day. Unfortunetly many have been over ripe and unsaleable. Yesterday they had over 23 lbs and they ended up buying only 12 lbs of that. Oh well, more eating mushrooms! The price had dropped down to 12 dollars/lbs now due to the volume coming in.
