Bark Collar Update

8-Ball

Question

Hi All- a quick update on the Tri-Tronics bark collar... I think it works pretty well. Although our dog is so dumb, he barks, then yelps, then barks, then yelps like 5 times before he shuts up. The 3 setting seems to be the best one. Any higher like 4 or 5 and he so much as breathes hard, and he gets a jolt. I would recommend this unit. Thanks for the suggestions everyone. I think I made the right choice... 8-Ball.

I may be wrong, but I think the settings are not for sensitivity, but the level of the “correction” he gets. If it’s not strong enough, and the dog has a high pain tolerance it will keep barking through the shock.

That's how ours works. The setting on ours is for how big of a shock he gets.

Yep, that's correct... it's all about the level of correction.... the sensitivity is the same no matter the setting.
