I am new to using leadcore. Just picked some up with new line counter reels. I have mono backing on the reel now, but what is the best way to connect the mono and leadcore line? What type of knot is being used?

I use a uni to uni knot. This works very well. I use about 50 yards of 20 lb braid backing then 5 colors of lead then 25-30 feet of 20lb mono. I use the uni to uni to connect all lines and a polamar knot to connect a clip to the end of the mono for easy bait changes. This setup with all 5 colors out and a #8 or #9 shad rap will get me down about 30 feet or so at 2.75 MPH.
