Fertilizer prices.

What are you all finding for prices? I found a bag of slow release professional. 25-0-10 for 20.95 10,000sf. This is straight up. Crabgrass preventer $25 does this seem like a good deal?

I can tell you that the Lesco Dimension (crabgrass) is around $40 at Home Depot and $23 at the John Deere landscaping stores. HD matched the price for me.

Ahhh, that explains why I got it for a final price of $22 and change. The price I was given by John Deere was $23 and that was the price HD matched.

I pay a little less than $15.

I also buy 250 bags at a time.

Couple of questions about the local co op.

I'd assume that's straight fertilizer, not crabgrass preventer?

Also, does that have any slow release fertilizer in it? Or is it just straight fertilizer?

Nothing for chemical in the fertilizer and no slow release. I don't believe in slow release fertilizer for the price that they charge. I put it on minimum three times per year. It probably comes out to the same price as if I put on slow release stuff but I know this stuff works. Why would farmers trust it on their crops if it didn't?

Because crops are a little different than grass. All plants aren't created equal!
