Got A Byte?
I am looking at a 2000 lund rebel fishing boat with a 40 hp honda outboard motor.Looking for anyone who has experience with these type of boats. I am looking to upgrade from a older 16 lund with bench seats.I am debating if this boat is big enough for my needs. Does anyone have any alternatives to this boat they have used? maybe a Tracker or Alumacraft?
solbes
Is that a deep-V, or more of the flat bottom in the stern semi-V? Can't remember when they made the switch to deep-V's. You will do better in some chop with at least a 10-12 degree deadrise. Other than that, I think they are great boats. Can't go wrong with a Lund, Alumacraft, or Crestliner IMO. paceman
I know a bunch of guys that have lund rebels. Really nice fishing boats. You see them everywhere. Very dependable....
BobT
I owned a 1991 Rebel 16 for 12 years. Mine was a tiller with three pedestal seats and 40hp Evinrude. I really liked my Rebel. Sold it in order to upgrade to please the wife. Otherwise I'd still have it.
Got A Byte?
I typically fish smaller lakes. I just want something a little bigger and without benches because I take the kids out some now to.
marine_man
Then I'd definitely look into the Rebel, and even better yet, if you can swing it, the rebel that's got the V Hull on it vs the flat bottom. I think it would be a good fit.marine_man
