I just got an i-pilot 24v Terrova and absolutely love it. I have not tried out the track recording yet (too many toys and not enough time) but all of the other features are awesome.

There are 2 seperate auto-pilot functions, compas heading and GPS track that are usefull in their own ways. The GPS track actually lays down a set of points in a line and will follow the line. GPS track is the default.

The anchor function works great and is a lot easier than dropping an anchor over the side.

I really like the cruise control, just set the speed and the motor maintains the speed regardless of current or wind. Since the cruise control is speed over ground it is not real good for working in current unless you are going a long distance in the same direction.

Another big improvement is the speed is incremented by 1/2 so you have 19 speed settings where on previous models you had 10. For me this is a huge improvment because I spend a lot of time dragging crank baits and speed is critical to control depth.

2 minor complaints:

1. The digital read-out on the remote is not very easy to see if you are wearing polarized glasses because there are spots that are darker. You can see most of it but on mine the dark spot is near the speed setting which is what I look at it for the most.

2. I like the larger remote but the keypad cover is black and all of the symbols are black, making it harder to see what each ket is. I'm sure that as I become more familiar with each key this will become a non-issue.

A buddy of mine bought one on a 80 lb terrova and it works great. We used it on the Rainy and even with current and wind it worked very well.
