Dakota Decoys

Hey guys, just wondering if any of you have had a chance to use Dakota Decoys full body goose decoys. I'm looking to buy some full bodies next fall and looking for some thoughts, suggestions, or anything else you have to say. Thanks!

They will kill geese but in my experience they did not quite finish as well hunting in front of a GHG FFD spread.

Dakota is a big decoy, will take the abuse well. I don't really like their paint scheme as much and their feeder pose is kinda funny to me but a little ways it does not bother me and looks decent. A lot of guys like em. Dakota has came out with "FFD" Dakota Goose decoys that should be on the market by next fall. They look almost the same as GHG's.

hunted over some a few times, they are a big heavier decoy than some others out there, but they kill birds just like any other full body. they will have flocked versions and a "lesser" available sometime late summer or fall as well. personally, i think too many guys get caught up in what a decoy looks like vs. another, etc. ive shot birds over pretty much every brand, and cant say i like one any better than another. they all have their +/- about them.

The lessers will be out this June. They will come in fully flocked or just flocked heads and tails. The body positions are different than the big dekes and look pretty good.

It is nice to buy from a "local" company with good customer service for once!

If I were you I would buy used off of hsolist. If you're just getting going on your spread you can stretch your dollars a lot futher.
