Gordie
What kind of killer is the best or something you have had luck with to get rid of this stuff. I know that I cant kill it all cause it in the neighbors yard but may be this year they will try to control it also.
hotrod1
I use Lesco broadleaf herbicides called Three-way or Momentum with great success. However, I usually wait till fall to control creeping charlie...seems to be the best time to kill that stuff.
Ralph Wiggum
Find something with dicamba in it--the higher the better. I have used Speed Zone in the past with good success. Hit it once, then again in 7 days.I've done it in the fall, though.
LwnmwnMan2
The reasoning behind hitting it in the fall, is in the summer, the leaves "wax". They create a layer to protect themselves. In the fall, the plant is absorbing as much energy as it can into the roots, thereby bringing more chemical into the roots as well. Quetico
Treat it right now with a high level of the active ingredient dicamba. Hit it early and often. Avoid using Boron/Borax. Boron will kill it but- too much and you kill everything including your lawn, trees, etc, too little and you just fertilized everything. Don't waste your time pulling it. LwnmwnMan2
Quetico is dead on.Get it now. Once June hits you'll want to wait until fall, as with just about anything that's meant to kill.
fishuhalik
Hey elwood, just let me know when it works for you and I'll stop by with a sprayer and get it for ya. Just keep me in mind when you have an open seat in your boat.
