Cheif Wooden frog

My wife and I are planning on camping in a tent opener weekend @ Cheif Woodenfrog state camp ground on lake Kabatogama. If you have camped there would appreciate comments on the grounds.We are planning on getting up there late friday before opener will we have any problems finding a site.

It's a very big campground. I'm not sure how popular kabetogama is on opener, but I don't think you'll have any problem finding a camping spot. I can't promise you'll get a lakeside spot though. It's been a long while since I camped there, but it was a nice spacious and woodsy place.

With the govenor being on Kab for opener I would think it would be packed, wouldn't hurt to leave early to get a spot.

Yikes! I forgot about that. I agree, it will most likely be packed.

You won't have a problem getting a spot @ Woodenfrog on opener. I've never seen the campground completely full after they added the additional sites 25 years ago. All the media folks will be staying @ resorts. VNP island sites are a different story.
