Spring Hair Cut

Do any of you guys give your Springers or Brittanys spring hair cuts? If so, when do you do it. My brittany is starting to look really shaggy and with the warm weather right around the corner I want to ensure he is comfortable for the summer.

I have an English Setter and groom him several times a year to try and help keep him cool.

I have my springer clipped several times a year.

I trim my setter a few times a year. Helps with the hair in the house and seems to keep her a little cooler on runs.

I have a springer and trim her when ever she starts looking "shaggy"

Couple times a year.

Just clipped my springers this past weekend. I'll probably do it once mid summer again and then in Sept. Typically leaves them with a good coat come Dec.

I have my Britt scheduled to have his spring cut here in a couple weeks. He then get another one a couple weeks before the season starts.

I have two brits and decided last year that buying a clipper was cheaper in the long run. I shave them pretty close once and that's it. I figure they're going to need the heavier coat for fall hunting. I'll probably do it in a few weeks since they stay outside and some of the nights could still get cold.

My ESS lives inside, he had is first field cut about 3 weeks ago. I'll do 1 mid summer and another one around the beginning of oct. The rest of the winter I let him grow it. Since he lives inside I don't worry too much about the oct temps. I can always just let him inside.
