JBMasterAngler
I'm thinking about checking this out (april 9-11). Anyone been to this before? Is it worth the hassle of going to minneapolis and paying for parking and admission? I'm still a year or 2 away from buying a house, so my main focus would be on decor, as I really like having a northwoods cabin setting
BoxMN
I have been to it with my wife a couple times. I think it is worth it. We went pretty early in the morning if recall, and there were not big crowds. There is a lot of construction booths, and that is cool to get ideas of the new stuff, but also a lot of things that you just never thought of before - some "better mousetraps" so to speak. Like the porch screens that roll up and down like garage doors - nice, but expensive - or the lamp shades made with thin slabs of agate or montana agate that looks really cool or the show prices on log furniture for outside... lots of that type of stuff. There is plenty of of the smaller decor type stuff as well. I think you might enjoy it, but much of it is catered to folks with plenty of disposable income, if you know what I mean hehe We walked out mostly with ideas and brochures, haha! jjohnson5150
I went to the show once & bought a wood carved bass with 3 coat hooks on it. I agree with Boxmn, the show caters to those who carry the loot. By the time we got done paying for parking & to get in, it was around $30. That bass ended up being around $60 if you count what we paid to get into the show. lol.
