hand/thumb warmers

I'm looking at getting myself some heated hand/thumbwarmers for my Arctic Cat 700 ATV. Does anyone have any experience installing these?? How much of a job is it. Also, I've seen 2 different options one is an aftermarket setup from Moose, heated grips, thumb, seperate switches for each. The other is the Arctic Cat, and it's heated "elements" that just go under the grips, then an element for the thumb. The moose is a little more, but seems like it would be worth it for the actual heated grips instead of the elements....anyone have any thoughts/experiences they can share??

I've put on a few dozen of both for myself and others, and either work well. I personally have the element style and have had them on the last 5 or 6 wheelers I've had. They allow you to keep the stock hand grips which I think are a bit easier to hang on to with gloves on.

They are a pretty simple install with a basic power and ground. Some use 2 hot wires, (one for high, one for low) and I have seen some that use a resistor for low setting. Make sure to find a switched power so they go off with the key, and secure the wires well and protected from getting caught on anything. Use compressed air to get under the old grips to help get them off if you are going to reuse them.
