campground with lakeside sites

Hey everyone-

I was just wondering if anyone knew of a (tent) campground that you can beach your boat right at your campsite in Minnesota or Wisconsin. I would like electrical hook-ups and my wife wants a shower. I know we used to keep our boat right at our campsite on Rock Lake near Breainerd but they don't have showers. Not as important but as long as I am being fussy a trout or muskie lake would make it perfect!!!

I think some of the state parks can meet your requirements. When I was little my family used to go to Lake Winni in the summer and I remember our campsite was on the water and we parked our boat right on shore. I don't remember exactly but I think there were sites with electric hook ups and there were showers available. And Winni might not have a ton of muskies, but it is where the state record came from!

I know Maplewood state park has one lake managed for trout and one for Muskie. I don't know the quality of those lakes, but it also borders S. Lida which is a good fishing lake, and you can boat into N. Lida and Venstrom lakes. I mainly fish the Lidas for eyes and crappie. Good luck finding the perfect vacation spot. I've seen campers with thier boats parked on S. Lida near the campgrounds.
