Please Help!

Recommended Posts

A small group of ours is heading to Canada sometime between late June and mid July. We are looking for a lake/lakes with the opportunity to catch trophy northern, as well as numbers. We also want a lake that has a good supply of smallmouth and a few walleye for shore lunch. Muskie would be a great bonus, but not necessary.

Please help and give some opinions/advice on where we might look. We are looking to fish Ontario, doesn't matter where. However, we would prefer the camp to be at least somewhat remote. It can be an outpost or drive-in.

Thanks so much for the help!

MNdreaMN,

You can email me at [email protected] I can give you some info on our camp. We have Northern Pike, Muskies, Lake Trout, and Great Bass fishing. We also have a walleye option if you would like. The camp is a boat in, it is 11 miles from our boat landing and sits on a 5 acre island.

If I don't have what you are looking for, I am sure I can point you in the right direction.

You can look at our HSOforum by clicking the link below.

Good luck.

Check out Gateway North Outfitters outpost on Pipestone Lake. Its only an hour drive across the border, but the fun part is its 20+ miles by boat to get to the outpost (over one mechanical portage) so you will see very few people on your trip. The smallmouth fishing is very, very good. Tons of northerns if you want, and we've gotten 40+ inch fish there with lots in the mid to upper 30 inch range. Big walleyes close to the cabin, and we seem to get more and more eaters every year. Excellent trout and muskie fishing as well. Its hard to beat. Its a very reasonable trip and is an awesome adventure. You wouldn't be disappointed. Google Gateway North Outfitters and check them out. Also, the owner posts under Superbee on this site. He is a sponsor.

Nungesser lake north of Red Lake Ontario definitely has trophy pike.

It also has awesome walleye fishing for numbers and size.

No smallmouth or musky.

boat / portage in so quite remote.

painless portage.
