ARCA series

Does anyone pay any attention to the ARCA series? We have a local guy in the series, Steve Arpin. Deer Creek Speedway was basically his launching pad. I see he finished 10th this past weekend. It will be interesting to see if he can keep climbing the ranks.

Steve's a good driver and he has some good connections, he is buddies with Carl Edwards and has become good friends with Dale Jr. From what I have heard, they are going to make sure he makes it to nascar is a couple of years. You need be a great driver, but you also need a little luck with who you know and fortunatly Steve has both. It will be great if he makes it, I remember watching him at the Emo Speedway when he was just getting started.

He is business partner with Win-tron Racing in Lakeville. Looks like he doesn't drive anymore.

I used to love the old ASA. Short track racing is my favorite.

I use to go to the ASA races with a fellow that raced for a few years in ASA.

Name is Mark Kahloff. Question on the last name spelling. He was from out your way but a bit to the north.

one reason i knew so many guys in it from years of being out at elko

i know one of hendricks crew gals is a smokstad from bloominton

other wise since trickle disappeared dont know many

i guess sauter and joe shear are asa guys

watched both of there dads race many times

and bobby gil who won the arca race he won the fair one year i know the guy he was driving for and he never got paided lol

I believe the Smokestad gal is Lisa. I met Lisa at a ASA race in Toledo, Ohio a few years back.

A friend of mines uncle, worked with Mark Martin and Bobby Gill when they raced ASA.

i partied with mark at elko i think he was 17

before he was even in asa i think it was an artgo show

There is also a Ted Smokestad and I believe he drove.

i think the best he did was maybe a 2nd at the fair coulda been the race gil won
