Mikey should just give up. I don't know how one guy can be so bad and still show up every week. If it happened every once and a while than big deal. But every week there is an issue. It's time to hang up the helmet and get somebody else in that car to see what they can do. They certainly can't do any worse!

Speaking of doing any worse, how about the announcing crew? They couldn't evaluate a crash if their life depended on it. Not only in this race, but also during the practices were they placing blame on the wrong car. I have no clue what they are seeing but I think they're getting old and in need of a visit to the eye doc.

I was fairly impressed with Danica's handling of her various situation in the ARCA race.

They sure are hyping her up. You would have thought she was the only person racing according to the announcers.

Of course they hype her up. She's good looking and a reason for new folks to watch races.

I watched the shoot-out and then watched a video of her ARCA race. She did do pretty good, and apparently has decided to race in the Nationwide race at Daytona on Saturday. That might be a tough way to start out but that's what you want in a driver, the desire and confidence to do it. The article that I read said that Tony Eury Jr didn't want her to race, but after seeing how she handled everything this weekend is in favor of having her race this coming weekend.

I'll go ahead and predict right now that if she somehow, miraculously finishes in the top 10 this weekend that the Earnhardts will find a way to buy her out of her open-wheel contract so that she can race Nationwide full time this season.

I don't know that Tony Jr. will be a problem. Its not like Dale Jr. was a genius at diagnosing problem with a car either.

I was thinking the same thing. I like Junior Earnhardt more than I used to - I think that he's matured a bit. I don't think that he ever put the time into being a great driver and working on the little things that make you a champion. He's got a LOT of talent and it comes with the pedigree. Eury is a good chief and very good for a part-time driver.
