96 lund alaskan livewell location?

I have a 20 ft 96 lund alaskan tiller without a livewell. It has the areator and pump switch, so i think it was a option in 96. My fuel tank is on the left side and a matching long storage area on the right. (dont think there is enough room for livewell there. I tried lund dealer but didnt get anywhere they just said it isnt available anymore. any ideas how i can get a livewell in this boat. I was thinking up front in the v. any idea as where to get a tank? or where the factory position would be in the alaskan.

I had a 2001 20ft. alaskan and the live well was in the front.

Several companies make after market live well kits. I know cabelas sells them.

Our first boat didn't have a livewell, so I always had a cooler in the boat. The folks finally retired and wanted to fish again, so I got a bigger boat and it had a livewell. I am less than impressed with it. It was put on the side of the boat and during the summer, the sun hits the outside of the boat and heats up the water in the livewell resulting in stressed fish unless I run the pump continuously. I would suggest trying to add a livewell that is in the middle of the boat to keep the water cooler and the fish happier.

+1. I have a 18' 1999 and the livewell is in the front bench.

I dont have any bench seats, 4 pedistals. Maybe i will make a raised casting deck with a livelwell under that up front.

Have you tried calling Lund?

They have all the old catalogs on hand (that have floor plans in them) and could probably offer some insight.

Yes i had the lund dealer in devils lake and they werent available. I did this on the phone I might have better luck in person.
