On Lake Ahquabi nice bluegills are being caught on the sunken brush piles. If you keep searching you might fine some large bluegills over 9 inches.

Also picking up a few crappies. Some have been up to 12 inches.

Welcome aboard. Please let us know how it goes for you this weekend.

yea Ill let you know how I do. Ive fished the lake a couple times, had ok luck nothin great, but ive heard it is a pretty decent panfish lake, and I know its a good bass lake. What about the big pond just to the south of it, I think it called hooper maybe, any crappie out there?

I've only fished Belva Deer a few times, all through the ice, but I caught some very nice bluegill, crappie, and redear sunfish.

It has a pretty good reputation for panfish, which is why Belva Deer can be pretty crowded on weekends.

I know there is a small reservoir/big pond called Yen-Ruo-Gis somewhere near Belva Deer; maybe that is what you're thinking of?

Living in Iowa City I don't drive west of here to fish much (except for Belva Deer), so Miami, Diamond, Red Rock, Hawthorne, etc. I know only second-hand.
